Terms of Service

Last updated: October 7, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Josh Kirouff, independent developer behind KIRO Games (“we”, “us”), who runs Palm Social, a free-to-play browser social game. By playing Palm Social you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community rules.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to play Palm Social. Children under 13 may not play or create a profile. If you are under 18, you may only play with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the game.

2. Public prelaunch

The Palm Social prelaunch site is public, but the game itself is not yet open to the public. During prelaunch and development, features may be unfinished, worlds and game data may be reset, and we may remove access at any time. Please report bugs to support@playpalmsocial.com.

3. Your profile

A guest profile (display name, avatar and game progress) is linked to a cookie stored in your browser. If you clear that cookie, switch browsers or lose your device, you may lose access to an unlinked guest profile, and we may not be able to restore it. When game access opens, signing in can restore a profile that is already linked to your account. Don’t share or copy your profile cookie. You are responsible for activity on your profile. Choose a display name that follows the Community rules; we may change or remove names that don’t.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to follow the Community rules. In short: be kind, keep things safe for everyone, and don’t cheat, use bots or scripts, exploit bugs, access other players’ profiles, or try to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the game or its servers.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create in Palm Social — chat messages, artwork, homes, guestbook entries and similar content. By posting it in the game, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, copy and adapt it (for example, resizing an image) as needed to run, show and promote Palm Social. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or where we must keep it for safety or legal reasons. Only post content you have the right to share.

6. Moderation and bans

We may review, hide or remove any content, and warn, mute, suspend or ban any profile, if we believe it breaks these terms or the Community rules or puts other players at risk. We try to be fair and consistent, but we are not required to monitor everything. To ask about a moderation decision, contact us at support@playpalmsocial.com.

7. Virtual items and coins

Coins, furniture, items and other virtual goods are part of the game. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred outside the game, and are licensed to you for use in the game only — you don’t own them. We may change, rebalance or reset virtual items and coins, for example to fix bugs or during the beta. Palm Social does not currently sell anything for real money. If purchases are added later, they will come with additional terms shown before you buy, and players under 18 will need a parent or guardian’s permission to make them.

8. Availability

Palm Social is provided “as is” and “as available”. It is still in development: features may change, stop working or be removed, and game data or worlds may be reset. We don’t promise the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or available forever, and we may suspend or end the service at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Josh Kirouff, independent developer behind KIRO Games is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of game data, virtual items or content, arising from your use of Palm Social. Our total liability to you for any claim related to Palm Social is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending your use

You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your profile (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the Community rules, or if we close the beta or the game.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date and, for important changes, tell players in the game. If you keep playing after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Questions?
